Were you able to contact anyone? I beginning to winder if i'm the only active prepper in the Province.

N8tureBoy,
Thanks for the reply.
No, not one. Of course, due to the harsh climate and frequent winter storms and associated power outages, I feel safe in stating everyone on the Rock is a prepper. They have to be. I spoke with a few locals and they assured me that many small villages and towns are routinely snowed in every winter, so they have to have a few days (weeks) worth of food in the house.
You might not be the active prepper in your province, but you may now be promoted to the most vocal!!! 🙂
Good to hear from ya. It may be some time before I am back out your way. But if I am I will drop you a line before the trip.
Cheers,
Mountainman.
I know I'm not on the Rock but just wanted to say Hi. I'm thinking I must be the only prepper in the "L" part of NL. I'm up here in the prepper's paradise of Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Hey N8tureboy, just noticed you are from Labrador too! Would really like to meet and speak with you.
That's right! Goose Bay is in Central though I'm in Western. Still nice to know there's more than one of us! Welcome Goose Bay!

Hello there, just wanted to let u know ur not alone in NL! I'm on the Avalon, being on an island has its advantages and disadvantages...being surrounded by water with melting polar ice caps kinda makes me nervey. I have some preps trying to be frugal and all is hard.

Funny that's what the Red Cross rep said too, People in Newfoundland and Labrador are preppers by nature.
