Hey HWH, I buy them online, it's free shipping and I do not think they carry them in store...they usually arrive in like 3-4 days at most. As well, on line you can pay with any credit card (I collect points on mine) but in store it is Amex only.
Here's the link, costco online is probably one of the best... http://www.costco.ca/CatalogSearch?storeId=10302&catalogId=11201&langId=-24&keyword=soldier+bar ...And yes, price and quantity are bang on, $29 for 15.

Enjoy

Well, I just ordered a box of the PB flavour. All the reviews on the Costco site were very favourable. $30/bx free S&H, pretty good deal.

102 Highway Surplus (Elmsdale) has some of the DATREX bars and water in stock. I didn't check the price.

Hey thanks Glockman1, I work at the airport so I'll swing in there and take a look at lunch one of these days.

Maybe I'll take a look at Soldier Bars as well. I don't suppose anyone knows the shelf life on them?

3 years but I don't think mine will last that long when I get them. 😉

Well, my Soldier Fuel bars showed up yesterday, I did a quick taste test and I give a thumbs up. I got the peanut butter flavoured bars and they do not have the chalky consistency with the metallic aftertaste that so many of these energy bars seem to have. (Cliff Bars, Power Bars, etc) I would describe the flavour and consistency similar to crushed Rice Crispies covered with a peanut buttery/caramel type coating. They have 290 cal with 10 g of protein. I'll keep a few bars in my BOB for a quick snack on the run.
