I am sure someone has shared these before but, just in case I am sharing them now.

This way is with a chain, 2 hooks and a bungee cord.

This way is using a spare tire.

It is difficult for me to split wood without a lot of cursing lol but, I have used the spare tire method before with decent results (and it was what we had at the time)
I would like to try it with the chain and bungee cord. It looks a lot easier!

OR you could find one of these puppies!

That Nordic splitter would be great for making shingles

Oh didn't even think of that!
I was thinking it would be a sweet gift for a few friends of mine if I had the $ 🙂

I actually thought it looked like more work than it was worth: they only show you AFTER they've gone to the trouble of putting the chain and the bungie on.
I split wood on a daily basis and putting a seasoned long onto the chopping block and using my maul to split it seems alot easier. lol
