MY name is Ryan and i am fairly new to this community, so i have lots to learn. I am finding it difficult to find sources locally to help me learn and begin my path to self reliance and self sufficiency. I hope that there is like minded people around my area that i could contact and learn form them. thank you and i hope you are all well on your way to being free of this cat and mouse game. 😉

Hi Ryan, I live in the London area and go there occasionally.
The one thing that I have found about most preppers, myself being new to this as well *(is/are?)*, that we are very cautious. Sharing knowledge and ideas on the net is relatively safe and is the way most people proceed...for a very long time. I'm not sure how many preppers connect with other preppers in person.
As they say "It's like being between a rock and a hard place." We need each other, but at the same time we may be too "aware" or "paranoid" of the circumstances we find the world to be in, and therefore find it too difficult to open up to each other.

I think there are groups that gather on a regular basis in the Toronto area.
I tried to form a "survival skills" group in London about 3 years ago and only one person responded. Maybe it's time to try again.
Good luck

*( )* Is it (is) or (are)?
The one thing I'm sort of looking forward to is the grammar police vapourizing. I seem to spend a lot of time trying to remember, and, or, look/ing up grammar, spelling, and punctutation rules when I'm writing. Who else cares with the new LOL, WTF, LMAO language that is evolving?

Hi Mason,

I am new to this community as well, also i too am in the london area, i am glad to see that there are people in my area, I was begining to wonder if i was the only one in this area that has the desire to prep and be more self sufficient, then i found this website and was happy to see i wasn't the only one, one thing i am learning on here is that people are only interested on talking on here, which is fine..but i am looking for a new friend or friends that i can talk about prepping and gardening and all that comes along with this life style, but for now i am happy to see that there is hope and people out there that are as excited about this as i am

hello everyone,
I'm also in the London area. I've been hoping to find a fairly local group that would be interested in doing camping trips, working on bushcraft skills (like indentifying wild edibles and types of trees/plants) and sharing basic life skills (like framing/construction, small engine repair, electrical work, etc..) with each other.

If anyone knows of a group like this or is interested in starting one, let me know.

Cheers

I'm moving back to London in May. I stay in London as much as possible and would love to connect in a public place- you mention a camping trip, I'm in. I don't have a car but I have everything else I need to camp.

Seedy Saturday's March 7 10am-3:30pm Carling Heights. I'll be there, will you?

Greetings Fellow Londonites
I have been practicing the old game of "if the SHTF can I survive with what I have on hand. I'm a former Combat Engineer of the Canadian Military and jack of many trades. I'm looking to meet with other like minds who want to swap ideas and practice the lore craft.

"We 'Prep.' to live after a downfall, Not just to survive."
