Is there a group of preppers in Barrie already? I'm new to prepping, a girl with a family, three kids and a hubby who thinks I'm paranoid, lol. Maybe I am, but if SHTF I'm thinking he will be grateful for that! Would love to join a barrie group, in person or on facebook. Get me some knowledge. Not completely inept, I went all the way thru Air cadets. But I'm certainly rusty!

There is definitely a few out that way. In fact, I know a very good one a little further north in Orillia and a few a little south of you in Orangeville. I've had the odd event out there but it seems (that area) to still be in it's infancy as far as prepper groups - or atleast regular prepper group meetings are concerned.

Nice that others are into prepping, seems like a network or at least a small group in the Barrie region, does anyone know of any like minded in the Kingston area??? I'm in the country, 30 acres off grid north of Kingston. Be nice to meet and or correspond with others who don't think the government is going to rush to the aid of people if a shft event occurred. Not to mention being self reliant is something I believe more people should want to do. From gettin off processed foods in general to eating local grown. Everyone may not be able to grow food or raise livestock but paying attention to what you eat is somethin everyone can do. Not meaning to sound preachy about it. I just don't believe we can continue to ship foods across the continent like we have. Actually across the world. Sooner or later eating what's actually in season will be the norm again. Canning will become the norm again
Around my place it already is. Part of being prepared. If anyone does know of any type of meetings or if someone happened to read this and lives in the Kingston, Belleville, Napenee....
area and would be interested in a discussion in prepping, I'm sure I have much to learn still. Possibly ideas I've not thought of, different gardening tips, etc. Hope to hear from fellow preppers/homesteaders. Take care

I live north of Barrie.
I'm looking to network with fellow Preppers in Simcoe County.

I have had a nagging feeling that the SHTF is closer than ever before.

I have more than a basic survival items but I lack like minded fellow preppers.

Send me a message directly on any gatherings or fet togethers from fellow preppers

Keeping It Together you're welcome to come to the Ottawa area preppers meet in August - there are many people who come from all over, even further away than you. Hope to see you there!
