On the map you can toggle the weather stations off and toggle the hurricane data on along the sidebar to the right. It has forecasted tracks and projected strengths.
This storm is definately worth watching as it makes landfall.
We in Ontario should not feel any effects till monday nite though
Thanks for the heads up

Yep got the cars topped off and did a fuel rotation on the genny today. Oh to own an emergency supplies store in NY!
Hi all! 🙂
Just a friendly reminder to my fellow ontarians...this doesn't sound like a big storm to us, but there is the possibility it can change direction and really cause havok. Enough that the Red Cross has reminded Ontario to ensure they are ready for 72 hours.
To most of the senior preppers here, this is peanuts, and for the rest of us remember a few simple points that EMO has given:
Keep enough food, water and supplies on hand for 3 days. 4l of water per person.
Possibility of no electricity. And no heat. Work that into your contingency plan.
The storm is expected to bering snap winter weather....do what you usually do to prepare for winter...sand in the vehicle, fully gassed up, shovels, etc. Keep your cell phone fully charged, and flashlights nearby. 🙂
Also, make sure you know where your shut of for gas, electricity and water is at your home.
For insurance reasons, it helps to keep photo documentation of your house, valuables, etc. Especially what's stored in the basement. If we get the worse case scenario of downfall..thwre will be some flooding.
Probably it will just be a bad storm for us here in south western ont., but again, things can change quickly. Stay safe, and if there is any interuption to service, enjoy a glass of wine by candlelight if your all prepared! ;).
Any other last minute pointers?
