If you can't kill it you shouldn't get to eat it, and if you kill it, you should eat it or at least give it to someone that would. I fail to see the difference between eating a warm and fuzzy cat or a warm and fuzzy rabbit, a gentle cow or a fast horse, or a pig, which is actually smarter than a dog. IMHO.
I drag the porcupine out into the field and let the bald eagle and other animals have at it. This is my thinking on it. I kill the porcupines killing my maple trees, so I can tap my trees to make money to pay property tax and what not, so they don't take my land away, and turn it into a subdivision and cut down all the trees so no animals including me have a home. One of my many motto is, wast not what not.
Talking about going to far, just an other kick in the head from a greedy system.
