TV helped me as well. We watched Jericho, BBC Survivors, The Colony, depression footage and now Falling skies and Revolution. My wife loves doing lists and organizing so she started there and I am grateful for it since I suck at it.
TV also helped me. I was watching "Doomday Preppers" and she started watching with me and SHE suggested it would be a good idea to do something like that. In my mind I was like YESSSSS. She just said she doesn't want to go nuts like those people and find a "Bug out" location and I said already have one!! LOL Cottage. She was like oh yea DUH! Before she agreed we both have already looked into getting our firearms licence and a couple weapons. Any way now gotta figure out where to put stuff since we live in a small apartment.
I, like Mr. W, have a wife/best friend who is also a prepper. Im a little more die hard than her, but we share everything we do.
I would suggest, if your wife likes to cook, to pick up some herbs and spices to grow and use in your meals. You could pick up a book on the medicinal attributes of different herbs etc, and you now have a duel purpose asset to your prepping, cook and drug store. Im sure there are other examples, just be creative.
Good luck.
Welcome Gg.clrngtn and greetings from Northern Ontario. Sorry I missed your first psot last month.
