What smells funny Entropy? Pretty straightforward post as far as i can tell. No demand for money up front to some shady email or anything like that.

i checked out the guys website, there is nothing started as booked for that day, which either means it's a private booking or it's not happening. this guy does not introduce himself at all, he's not asking for money up front but doesn't give a run down of what your money is getting you, what you need to bring, any contract info. . .

i offer a great nature hike through some really pretty forest, you are welcome to camp there, and it only cost you $300 contact me if you'd like the tour! cheques needed in advance before directions are given 😮

maybe i'm overly caution, but he still hasn't update any of the stuff on it, no contact info, no details. . .

we are way to damn trusting as Canadians!

It's really sad we can't trust each other now so I can only imagine what will happen if SHTF! Oh well.

And yes, I hired him for a private retreat. Feel free to call to verify.

It relates to the subject title (topic) so I never saw it as spam.

I don't think this is spam. First of all, spammers on this site are usually trying to sell something totally unrelated to prepping such as purses. Secondly, DigitalNomad has given details, albeit after being questioned, to the whole affair. I hope that he continues to contribute to the site in other posts.

Thanks Hobo for the nice msg. I'm from downtown Toronto so look fwd to escaping the concrete jungle and learning some outdoor + survival skills. I've done some basic prepping and I'm experienced in self-defence but I know there is lots more to learn. This forum has a wealth of great information so glad I found it! I'm going in a few days so will keep you posted...
