i have been on this forum slightly over 24 hours, and i have read a large number of articles,
seems to be quite a few people putting down eachothers beliefs,
its crap,
not the forum, but the garbage people say about eachother,

honestly, most of the worlds problems are because people cant just accept eachothers opinions and beliefs and move along,
we all are smart enough people to see that there is something coming down in the future (even if we disagree on what it is) that it is wise to prepare for. and all seem to have a strong opinion that teamwork is the best option. so why the **** (insert your favourite 4 letter word) are people argueing about weather the world was created in 6 days and god rested on the 7th or if we were seeded by aliens or if we evolved from chimps, IT DOESNT MATTER. we are all here.
we are all grownups, not 7 yearold boys fighting about whos dad could beat up whos.
i work with alot of people with different backgrounds, i dont want to hang out and have a beer after work with most of them. but i can work with them and exchange ideas on how to do the job at hand, take and give advice. not on religon or how to live my life but how to do my job and ways to improve the quality of work.
and our number one job, fine people of the internet, is to keep our loved ones safe in the hard times that are coming.
is that so hard?

What you need to understand my friend is that ALL of us have a reason for what we are doing. we spend money and time prepping for what ever reason because we believe in it. when you put such time and effort into what you believe and then read about what others believe and his or her reasons are not the same as yours, you kind of feel the need to justify what your doing and why. Some of the time it comes off a little strong and maybe the wrong way but at the end of the day we all mean well.

we are here to help eachother and we do, if not to prep then just so we can vent and get out the awkward reasons for what we do. we are all a little crazy but we accept it and we accept eachother. I know im a little nuts but most in here have accepted me withopen arms and given my shared thoughts a chance and i am thankfull for that. We are still human and will always believe we know better then the next guy. almost every one on here is a good person and will help you as much as they can if you just give them the chance, just keep some salt near by when reading some of your replys and you will be fine.

I don't know, ... we all seem like a good bunch I think. I've never queried anyone else on this, but at least for me, sometimes it can be a challange to decipher the tone and emotions of any comment. We put our own tone and feelings into what we read, which could be totally different than the person who wrote it. And again, not speaking for everyone, but I know I fail at times to articulate through typing, exactly how and what I want to say. I'll know because the reader on the other end will most likely give me an unjustly lashing. But then again, there are some prime examples of a rude comment. In which case, reach for the salt, as 2012 Compatible recommends.

pacmanpackslight;

We have had some join this year and late last year that were a little argumentative. Most are here to help and assist, learn and grow. A few were asked to go away politely, unfortunately, the Three of them were rude and offensive. It does happen once in a while, although mostly here, we can critique each other with a helping hand.

Having been here for a couple of years, I take the long view, help where I can, offer my thoughts, if someone disagrees with my views that is ok. In a proper rebuttal in this communication setting we can all learn and we all come from different backgrounds. My background is military and survivalist to prepper to prepper permaculturalists, this is a sustainable view for me.

For a forum that is growing I would say that there have been darn few incidents compared to elsewhere on the net. When someone is rude I jump in and say that is enough, seeing as I have only done that 3 times, that is just not that bad at all. Thank you for your post and the opportunity to reflect on my thoughts of the Forum and the people here as well.
Remember each area and each circumstance is different as well as each others backgrounds so there are bound to be thoughts expressed, hopefully they will continue to be almost 100% positive.
Cheers and looking forward to seeing what you and other new people contribute to our Forum, for it is all of ours, new and old, no preferences here.
