Hello everyone

Just joined this site after I stumbled across this forum. I'm also in the KW area and was interested in doing some networking. But seeing that you all plan to meet this Sunday and I already have plans there is no way I can attend. Even if I was to be invited in time. So I hope that you all plan to make this meeting perhaps at least a quarterly thing... (good idea maybe?) to allow us late comers the opportunity. I've got a friend here in town also (being the guy who got me into prepping) who may be interested. I understand that "opsec" is a major thing but I think community is also.

Hey,, I'm also in KW, looking to meet other preppers in the area. Been prepping for about 2 years now. Started little but building my skills and supplies as I can. Would love to meet with like minded people, instead of a hubby who thinks I am just prepping for a Z attack. (Eye roll).
For myself the big things are: I am prepping things like Canadian Winter. We were down without power for 2 days last winter. KW didn't even try to help people, no warming centers, no attempt by the city to help, my neighbor, and older lady thought it was amazing I checked on her with extra quilts and candles just in case. First time my family didn't think I was crazy. For economic issues, we didn't get hit as hard as the states, but look at Detroit, it still hasn't recovered. And for plain old personal issues, like job loss.
I would be interested in learning how to do some canning, basic hunting skills like trapping and preparing meat (I can do fish but would like to learn more gacme based skills).

I saw you guys met up, of course I missed it. But if that happens again count me in.

Hey, were back in Kitchener after ten years up north. I still travel back and forth two weeks at a time. I'm looking to learn new skills, teach what I know and homestead/ gardening. If your into these things/ have land or want to be part of the land I have up north in Abitibi, Quebec near Kirkland lake, PM me. It's about being ready for life's challenges, eating food without chemicals and having fun.
