Hi all, not sure if this is the right place for this but I was on the Marstar website and i was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them. Any issues with quality of product or service? I was interested in their Soviet SKS and surplus ammo. thanks for your feedback

They just import them.
go to canadiangunnutz, look in the Red Rifles section and learn about the SKS, some are better than others

I've ordered from them before. Delivery and product as expected. Delivery sometimes took a little longer than expected, but a phone call was easiest way to reach them when this happens.

Marstar is fine. I would recommend their new Chinese SKS over the reconditioned Russian ones. Before anyone freaks out, These are not norincos. They were made under soviet supervision...and they are brand spanking new. Nice stocks. I like the spike .

I have a Tactical Harness and I have a Tool Belt. The Tool Belt is more Useful.

I guess it depends if you like to shoot guns or fix them more.

thanks everyone for the great advice, I knew I came to the right place for input. Threestorms, I was thinking about the ones at Canadian Tire too, the store in Fort Erie has about 5 or 6 of the Russian ones, I wasn't sure what kind of accessories they came with so you answered my next question. I was a little leery of buying from Canadian Tire but it would be nice to get a close look at them before buying, plus if I'm not mistaken I think that some of the gun clubs around here have a no surplus ammo rule so that would eliminate any kind of Marstar Deal at least for now. Once again thanks to all for their input,I'll let you know what I decide. Steve.

I have only one experience with marstar and it was not really good. I pre-ordered a M14 rifle with the understanding that the rifle would be in and delivered in about 4-6 weeks. I waited over 8 months, and eventually just asked for my money back...Atleast I got my money back without any problems.

Marstar has a good reputation for standing behind the products they sell and they also do warrenty work on everything they sell.

Like any business they have their issues from time to time, but over all they are pretty good company to deal with.

I recommend you buy an SKS, their great little work horses. I've got a Russian Tula and now I want a Chinese one as well 🙂

I've purchased firearms and ammo from marstar. Great little company, only complaint is that they are often out of stock on various items per there website. If your not there at the right time they will often sell out of a line of rifle or shotgun. Got the Norinco SKS from them a while back and it was is great condition. No issues here with the company.
