Those vertical wind generaters are made to sit on the peak of your roof. From web sites I've looked at, on a 5/12 pitch roof, the wind speed is as much as 30% higher at the peak than on the ground. In my location I don't have enough wind to rely on turbines alone. Mine are just to supplement my solar power to charge my batteries. As I'm fond of saying, google it.

really windy where I am....60 kph last night for most of the night...only problem with a turnbine is it has to be shut down at those high wind levels
