Mtlcrusin, don't worry - we usually have a summer meet-up east of Ottawa so maybe you can make it there.....

Good Point Prepher,

I expect that at least one meeting this year(summer) will again be the lorose forest location, which is just off Highway 417 at about the half way point between ottawa and montreal 🙂 Hope you will be able to make out to that one..

Although it doesn't look like I'll get to this meeting, the outdoor location from last year is certainly on my to do list.
Mtlcruisin...If you're into it, we could maybe travel together to that one!

Denob, for sure. I will definitely be interested in the summer one that's closer to montreal. I'll try to round up some other people I've recently met or got in contact with who might come also. Honestly, I really wish there was more interest from Montrealers. I watch Doomsday preppers and I see all the cool things they are doing all over except I can't find anyone near my age, near my location, who wants the same things I do.

Anyways, but ya, next meetup that is near Montreal I will go to, just tell me the time, place and date !

I might be able to do the April 14.

Just wondering, since I have never met any of you, how does this work. Do we meet outside the restaurant? How will I know which group of people to approach. Will it be the group of 5, 10 or 20. Sorry for the dumb question.

Hi Denise, looks like we are sitting currently at ten to twelve folks, more is always welcome, we did hats for the indoor meets and ballons for the outdoor meet last year, so just look for the group with the lady with the black hat with a steel zipper flower on it, anyone else going to wear something they are willing to share?

We meet inside, and just said, our party was expecting us, and folks just looked around..

I'm 'totally' there but 'DAMN'...I'm meeting four officials from emergency preparedness/management that day at 2pm for an event with my group. I'm so going to drive down if you guys and girls can work around that time. I would really love to meet all of you and share our prepping mishaps & triumphs. I had a look at the previous posts and didn't see a specific time set...

UPDATE:
Just realized everyone seems to want to meet for 11. It would be over a four hour drive for me which means I wouldn't be able to make this work with my other scheduled event for 2. If there's any way all of you magically agree to a breakfast meet then I'll leave at 4 am if I have to.

hI Che

Sorry, many of us have farms and livestock and some will be getting up at that four or five to get the chores and milkings done to be able to make the 11 start, or depending a touch later depending on driving time, so moving it to a breakfast time would not work for a number of us, myself included, we will have at least two more meets over the summer, hopefully they will work better for you..

Farmgal, the ground is slowly warming up and the snow melting so maybe I'll be able to dig the Hops for you afterall - and bring it to the meet
