Do any of you London folks have any recommendations of instructors or businesses offering the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and exam in or around London/St .Thomas/ Elgin/ or Southwest Middlesex? I'm thinking of doing it in the next year or so and figure I might as well just go for Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course at the same time since handgun shooting looks pretty fun too.
I Know about the East Elgin club (me and the GF wanted to check out their open house last spring or summer but work got in the way). And I think there's clubs that I've driven past on both Westdel and Southdale roads?
My only experience with fire arms was shooting 22s at a Scout camp down in Kentucky when I was maybe 13 or 14. It was fun, but to be honest I didn't really retain anything. I'm actually surprised in retrospect that we didn't get chased off the range by the guy supervising, considering me and my friend were too busy goofing off and doing some reckless things rather than taking it seriously. Needless to say, we didn't get that badge...
i had searched Google for a gun club in London and there was one on Crumlin Road that had links to all the courses out there.
Here is the link....they have an expert there that can do the courses and the exams for you.
located at 3384 Gore Road just east of London, Ontario, Canada. Telephone (answering machine): 519-451-1171
The only trainers I know of in the London/St. Thomas area are Sue Rueger who works out of Crumlin Road (above), and Jim Griffin who I think works out of East Elgin or the St. Thomas club. I was trained by Jim, and my brother was trained by Sue.
