Take your time to read through the postings on the topics that you are interested in. Use the search funchion on the top right of the screen. Check out the individual province forums. Tons of information but it will take you some time to read it all. Enjoy.
Hey there .
Welcome I know it can be a little daunting at first but there is a wealth of info on this site. I think the the most important things I learned are.
1 to not try and do it all at once when I do stuff I tend to try this and get so frustrated with myself
2 I do not have to have the best of the best , to start where I can and gradually upgrade as I am able
You have picked a great place to start and there are a lot of folks with a lot of knowledge
Once again welcome and keep preppin

I applaud you for thinking about building a bunker, however, if you're just starting out then you need to focus on the basics. Things like:
Long-term water and food storage
Bulk food sources
Medical/trauma kits
Security
etc. etc.
Once you feel confident in this area then focus on the bigger picture (which would include things like bunkers). I know it can be overwhelming at first but that's why we have communities online like these. Feel free to PM me directly for the best bulk food locations in southern Ontario.

if you are new, you need to build your foundation, without a good foundation, nothing can be done well. prepping has a wide base and you need to start some where. the basics start with food, water, shelter, light, heat. you have to start out small and build. if you go out and buy a gun and lots of bullets but have nothing worth protecting then you've failed. if you have 10 years worth of food but not medications, first aid, or any way of protecting it you've failed.
prepping is about balance, taking care of many area without putting yourself into debt!!!!!
10 years worth of toilet paper and 6 months of food doesn't make much sense to me, but i think you get my point.
there are endless skills associated with prepping, i've been prepping for 10 years, and i'm still learning. 5 years ago i had reached what i thought was the top of the game, and then i met some people that took me to another level. . .
i don't believe in just surviving, i believe in thriving. if the world stopped working, i want to have my lap top for a game or too, a tv and vcr to watch a movie, i want my security system to work, i want to grow my garden, to save my seeds, to feed my dogs, to live a lot like i do now.
prepping is not just about stuff, it's about knowledge and skills. as a nurse i have the medical stuff covered, but in the last 6 months i've learned plumbing, electrical, i've learn what happens when your well goes dry and how to hook up a temporary cistern. . . i can't change a transmission, but maybe someday.
in the last two years i've learn a LOT about gardening, i've read a lot and i GREW a lot. . . i've saved seeds and grow them the next year.
as you can tell this isn't going to be something you're going to be done learning with in 6 months. it's a lifestyle and a damn fine one too!!!
i started with the three books listed below, they are they ones i lone out, they will give you a quick study to get you started, when you're read them and took their advice you'll have well on your way. after that there is still more, alt power, maybe off grid, raising animals? the sky is the limit. . . it's much more then beans band aids and bullets. (but they are important parts too!)
