to answer the one question the property is a old farmstead that has grown up and needs some tlc,but has a very good mix of wild land and clearings..

Hello everyone, I am brand new to this list, much as I am to prepping. (Still trying to convince my husband!) I've been reading some of the posts, and when I got to the subject of Property, I thought I'd add my 2 cents worth. Rather than a number of preppers living off the same property and the inherent difficulties that would possibly arise, would it not be easier to move to an area you might like, that also has a high number of preppers? I'm just thinking of the legal problems of numerous people trying to build on the same piece of land, etc., not to mention the personality problems, ownership rights, etc. (people being people). We live just west of Ottawa near Constance Bay. Anyone else in the West Carleton area or Arnprior, west Ottawa, White Lake, Renfrew, Almonte, Carleton Place, etc?

It sounds good to get few people of the same mind to get a place to start a small community.
But the cost can be difficult for most.
Also, would need to check local by laws and such
I have been looking around for a piece of property for my self and family.
