Not to hijack, but not all laws were created to protect us. Some are created as a form of taxation. Others are passed to further political agendas. Some are passed to pacify the sheeple. Some are good, some are beyond idiotic. You actually don't have to follow any law you choose not to. As long as you are aware that there may be consequences. Love me some civil disobedience. 😉

There is always the taxation aspect both in the fee for the permit and the fine if you don’t obtain one. This characteristic of the law is rarely overlooked by whatever political assembly is enacting the legislation. As far as civil disobedience is concerned in this case it the organizers of the group that would be held responsible. So in this case we will move forward carefully with due diligence to ensure that there are no infractions to any laws; local, Provincial or Federal.
