I wont post anything that might lead someone to think ,i am looking to make a dollar here,or find work ..I run a few bussiness and have done well over the years.I am working and busy presently, never noticed any recession . I dont want to get involed in any argueing as i has seen in some threads on here .I know that my wife and kids and there kids are all looked after ,and my siblings and there off spring are looked after,as well as the wifes siblings ,we all have had ball building the camps, kids, adults and even the animals . I have noticed on here it is not hard to tell who is from the North and have been doing it as a lifestyle, and the preppers from the lower part of the Provience trying to work it out some crazy ideas, I am not saying this to be rude or anything like that ....Take Care all ......Logger1

logger1, I apologize, but if you would read you posting in a different light you would have to agree that it sounds like a sales pitch. I also am a man that wears many hats. When in high school I learned, metal casting but my major was Arch. Drafting. I joined the Military, Field Engineers, and learned demolitions, water purification and heavy equipment operation. Went into the Airforce and became an Aero Engine Tech. Got out of the military and got a diploma as a Mech. Engineering Design Tech. So what am I now, Old, and a security guard that still tinkers with everything. But most of all, I am a Survivor that dreams of things that might become, and that is what drives me to Prepare.
Grammar means nothing these days as long as you can get you point across and not muddle the message.

Exactly. It doesn't need to be a huge nuclear shelter like the Ark. I saw this on Doomsday preppers, and they invested their entire savings into this. They actually made this a bit too public in my opinion but they do have a good setup. Not just for nuclear, but they have a good BOL for any kind of disaster/scenario.

You could have a good point, with the proper controls and place for it, it could be a successful section. We're all probably able bodied for something or other. Let the moderator know, or whom ever has the power to make it happen. I'm pretty sure it's currently against the guidlines is it not?

So VERY sorry I didn't see this earlier...
there is a barter section and so long as you are not a commercial enterprise (we have a place for that too) you can advertise items for barter there.
Here is the link...

enjoy, but just remember that the mods will NOT get involved in any disputes, nor does the forum take any responsibility for anything sold, bartered, given...yada yada legal stuff!

Though I may not always agree with his opinions or his conclusions in his newsletter all the time, I have to admit what he was able to build is simply fascinating, and astonishing.

The buses at $400 a piece is a pittance compared to the cost of his concrete, reinforcing steel, mechanical/electrical services, and not to mention the custom or specialized products for doors, filtration, water services, sewage, etc. Simply stunning that a private citizen can make this.

Bruce has touched on the problems he's had with Authorities Having jurisdiction in his newsletters but the comments are fairly vague. Why is he being unfairly pursued by the Gov't? Are there concerns from building officials, fire prevention or conservation authority? Or other legal issues?

The Gov. has been harassing Bruce with frivolent court cases for the 20 years after he built it. It has cost over $500,000 over the time span on legal fees. At one time the Police raided the facility while the CBC crew were there, doing a documentary on Bruce. Egg on face for Gov. looking for another Wacco, they found nothing.

Ranger. I hear ya. There's no doubt bruce has been involved in a lot of court cases with the gov't.

But the questions remain whatn and why? I've never heard any specifics or anything more than he's had to goto court and opinions he's been unfairly treated. But personal opinions aside, what for and why?
