I was surprised to see this thread twitch with life again. Hopefully someone will respond who is closer. As I mentioned, I'm not in the area very often but I do hope you trigger some talk amongst the earlier contributors to this thread.

You may want to narrow down your area as a few hours from TB could be a pretty big footprint. Keep opsec in mind though if you're not comfortable naming a town, a direction would probably help.

Out of curiosity, did that couple from BC have any luck finding land? Are there any deals to be found? I can't scroll back far enough at the moment to see their names.

I've always watched for land around Fort Frances for retiring someday but it never went down in prices even after the mill went more-or-less silent.

Not sure who you are referring to, but most deals are found by word of mouth around here.

Fort Frances is a beautiful area with good fishing and moose hunting. Probably not going to come down in price...almost every house is lake front.

I am possibly relocating to the Thunder Bay area from Barrie. Looking for possible contacts in the area. Any help or information would be appreciated. Thanks!

First time back on this forum for me in a month or so. Nice to see some activity. For finding deals on rural land, Kijiji is a great option. Seen some nice stuff pop up there in the last several months.

Hello maniman, nice little town there. I've been to Manitouwadge quite a bit when I drove the mail truck there. Slept down by the lake in the summer.
