I have always said, "They sent wolves to guard the sheep". Do I condone what they did? No, but were they conditioned to do so? Yes.

I agree with ranger2012 the CAB is not the appropriate unit for peacekeeping. You would have been better sending any other unit before the CAB. Their role and mind set training is far from PeaceKeeping. Right tool for the job. If you use pliers on a bolt, dont be shocked if it gets a little stripped. but... They were trying to get rid of the CAB for a LONG time, the 1987 White papers stated that the CAB was no longer a viable unit in todays modern battlefield, and should be disbanded. Thats many years prior to Somalia, so, not entirely shocked they were putting fuel soaked wood next to the fire. End Result = their plan.

Did you know that after the Vietnam war, many of the Green Berets had to be put into a confined community. The reason, because of their mind set, if they saw a person doing a criminal act, they would not hesitate to put that person down, permanently. Some of them never came out of that community. 😐

Aussie Vietnam Vets were treated badly when they returned here........the Government has (finally) recognised their sacrifice however too little, too late. Those men should have received a hero's welcome back when they returned from 'nam. Maybe that would have made the vets realise that many people do appreciate what they did for us - I certainly do.

The original post by Goldbug79 was "just interested to see what everyone thinks will happen in the coming months years theres so many different things people are saying whats your guess".

It is an excellent question but I think we have been getting a little off topic, dragged there by a disruptive troll. So let's see what you think will happen in the immediate, the near and far future.

My best guess is weather related 'short term event' or a slow but steady decline in the economy......
I won't ever be prepared for a teotwawki catastophic event.....

I think the economy will get worse..then recover and get even better...like every other recession/depression in History. And at least in my life time there should be at least 3-4 more significant economic downfalls if the cycle holds steady. Call me an Ayn Rand romantic...but the correction has to occur. Tough times for Greece now...and hopefully something better will rise from the ashes.

There will continue to be natural disasters, terrorism, violence, etc. Most of us will not be touched by it, but the media will hype it for all it's worth causing a general uneasiness and mild paranoia in the general public....and life will go on.

Then we will retire, and live out our days. Hopefully if we also prepp'd by topping off our TFSA's, and RRSP's it will be in relative comfort.

I see...

so, on the extremely outside chance that we dont' go spiralling into chaos, are you saving anything or...will the evil gov't have to support you if there is no crisis in your golden years?

I'm saying that according to the video, your assumption of continued cyclical and predictable economic ups and downs are an incorrect normalcy bias. According to the video, these economic events are planned, and are designed specifically to take away yours and my money and consolidate power into fewer and fewer hands.
Personally speaking, I stopped worrying about my pension funds a long time ago. If I was allowed to withdraw it, I would. In my opinion, RRSP's are tax shelters, not retirement income vehicles. Every penny you take from your RRSP during retirement is a penny less that CPP will pay you, which you paid into as well. So, unless you have millions of dollars in your RRSP's and don't care about ever collecting a dime in CPP money, you're pretty much paying into a retirement fund twice but can only draw once.
Also, personally, even if I reach retirement age without a SHTF event, my personal pension money isn't enough to do much with, since that fund has never really grown on it's own. I guess that money is just there for the ultra rich folks to play with so they don't risk their own money in the markets. I assume that they take all the profit, because I sure don't get it.

Just an opinion about retirement.
Many of us worry about how much money will be available to us when we reach our golden years.
What do we need this money for?
Bills.
Bills come in many forms from mortgages or rent to electricity or gaz, television etc.
Would it not make sense to reduce the amount of bills you get?
A paid for home, energy conservation and alternative generation methods, FTA satelite or good old fashioned anntena, would reduce monthly expenses greatly, thus reducing the need for income.

The point is...reduce your monthly expenses so you can live on less income.

i understand your planning for SHTF and are probably way more prepared than I or most people and will be ready. good on you. Just wanted to know if the NWO doesn't take over in your lifetime if you planned for the unlikely event that you may have to still support yourself in this teetering falling economy by working or off investments when you retire....or if the gov't will be supporting u. Thats all I wanted to know. I guess we should be prepping for every type of scenario...even the unlikely event of having to cash in RRSP's.

Thanks for your concern about my money and investments. I'll think I'll be alright when I retire. The NWO can keep my CPP if the babyboomers don't get it all first. 🙂

Like most small business owners, I walk a high wire with no safety net every day. Also, like most small business owners, the concept of retirement is totally foreign. I'll work till I can no longer get out of bed. Most of the population does not have a defined benefit retirement plan or max out their RRSP's every year.
It's just the way it is. I have no concern for your money or investments at all.
My only point is that I believe you have a normalcy bias. If so, I hope that bias does not prevent you from making the choices you need to make for yourself before it's too late.

I think that the points have been made, but that we are way off topic.
Let's keep it to the topic of discussion...
what do you think will happen.
Thanks
