Went to Canadian Tire and picked up the last of their discontinued solar panels. They are great for experimenting with. Most of them are small enough to be somewhat portable.

been using my solar panels for a trickle change on my battery power pack. Thee solar panels are in my basement window and I get a charge on most days even without direct sunlight.

They are discontinuing the Blue Planet equipment which is the CT name for Sunforce products. That's what they tell me in the local store.

That would not be a Gerber folding knife would it?

That would explain why they have been on sale so often lately...
I wanted to pick up one of the 15 watt panels last week, but decided to wait for something bigger to go on sale.
Hope I didn't bugger myself!

Dehydrated celery and celery leaves yesterday...the celery wasn't a fantastic buy but...it had LOADS of leaves and was very, very fresh. So I have a small jar of leaves and a small jar of celery pieces.
Food Basics had mushrooms on 8oz for 88cents...so we got a flat of 12 and those sliced with my egg slicer and "checked" them in the microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds with a couple tablespoons of water, it sort of blanches them and they rehydrate better later done this way.
8 cans of sale sockeye salmon
Got 4 two pound bags of soft wheat on clearance at the grocery store...nice for pilaf or making soft ww baking flour for pastry etc.
Cleaned out a clearance of dog food ...it was on because they've got a new label...got 10 cans.
4 bags of sale sugar, might go back for more because it was a limit of 4.

I'm the lady you're stuck behind in the grocery store with the over loaded cart filled with cases of tuna, peanut butter, huge bags of rice and the weary looking husband

i know this post is to encourage fellow preppers to prep...but to post any part of your inventory online is not a good idea...even if its 1% or 0.0000001%

Vacuum Food sealer with a starter bag kit, bunch of tinned meat - chicken, tuna, cans of chunky soup - all on special 1/2 price, picked up a cast iron fondue set unused. 1L at least pot, a stand, splatter guard, 7 skewers and a burner.. got it for $20.
Side note.. the free sandwich press kicks ass.. gets very hot very fast.. great for toasted sandwiches etc.
