Went to Canadian Tire and picked up the last of their discontinued solar panels. They are great for experimenting with. Most of them are small enough to be somewhat portable.

They are discontinuing the Blue Planet equipment which is the CT name for Sunforce products. That's what they tell me in the local store.

2 15 watt panels $62ea
2 5 watt panels $25
3 2 watt panels $ 9
I tried to get a charge controller but they said they have been discontinued, so may be they are discontinuing thier solar products
I also have some rain checks for some knives that were supposed to be in after xmas, but now they have no date in computer when they will arrive, but girl said keep the rain check, just in case they do come in

That would explain why they have been on sale so often lately...
I wanted to pick up one of the 15 watt panels last week, but decided to wait for something bigger to go on sale.

All the remaining supply of Blue Planet panels is on sale this week. Check CT on line. They should still have some lest in most of the largers stores. They will remain on sale intill all the stock is gone I think.
Before you by from CT compare thier sale price withthe same product from Home Depot and Lowes at regular price. Not much difference.
Dehydrated celery and celery leaves yesterday...the celery wasn't a fantastic buy but...it had LOADS of leaves and was very, very fresh. So I have a small jar of leaves and a small jar of celery pieces.
Food Basics had mushrooms on 8oz for 88cents...so we got a flat of 12 and those sliced with my egg slicer and "checked" them in the microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds with a couple tablespoons of water, it sort of blanches them and they rehydrate better later done this way.

Got 4 two pound bags of soft wheat on clearance at the grocery store...nice for pilaf or making soft ww baking flour for pastry etc.
Cleaned out a clearance of dog food ...it was on because they've got a new label...got 10 cans.
4 bags of sale sugar, might go back for more because it was a limit of 4.

Picked up another clothes drying rack on sale at CT.
Also 2 X 10 gal. storage totes...$3.00 each at Dollarama. These will be for non food items such as first aid supplies, extra toiletries, etc.
Still filling up soda bottles with water as fast as we can get our hands on them.
Purchesed afew bullet moulds, 9mm,40, 38, 44 & 45 in pistol calibres & 223 & 30 cal for the rifles, to cast my own bullets.
i know this post is to encourage fellow preppers to prep...but to post any part of your inventory online is not a good idea...even if its 1% or 0.0000001%
Vacuum Food sealer with a starter bag kit, bunch of tinned meat - chicken, tuna, cans of chunky soup - all on special 1/2 price, picked up a cast iron fondue set unused. 1L at least pot, a stand, splatter guard, 7 skewers and a burner.. got it for $20.
Side note.. the free sandwich press kicks ass.. gets very hot very fast.. great for toasted sandwiches etc.
