Been away for a while, but over the past month, I've added:
1 case of shotgun shells (10 boxes)
SKS Rifle (Saving up for a case of non-corrosive ammo)
Bunch of canned food
Beefed up my BOB/EDC with some hygiene stuff
A Tavor for all you gun porn addicts here is a pic. Some say she's ugly I say she is beautiful.
Beautiful... definitely beautiful :).
A lot more cans of food was added to the family's regular stock.
24 sets of shoe and Boot laces in different lengths. Will add more but I basically cleaned out the stock on display :).
Another sks rifle as the price is so cheap and its simple and easy for new shooter to learn and master.
Not sure if I mentioned this one before but an M305. It was more of a panic buy get it while you can at the price. Having played with it at the range I must say its pretty sweet. Groups nicely out the box and I absolutely love the 308 round (must get more...).
Ammo wise I added some 309 12 gauge slugs, another 100 shells of 20 gauge rabbit/grouse shells. Fifty rounds for the 303 British and 100 rounds more for the 30-06. I also reloaded up some 50 rounds of Savage 300 as I have an Savage 99 lever action in Savage 300 caliber and I am determined to have at least 300 rounds for it to continue hunting with it come shtf. Finally a new crate of ammo for the sks's (1400 rounds or 10 times at the range).
Not bad for an update :).
A dog.
We got a bull mastiff pup for 2 reasons. 1. They are great loyal animals especially with those who have disabilities. 2. No one wants to mess with you when you have a bull mastiff. Good luck getting in.
And we bought a dozen bags of dog food and more pet supplies, just in case.
I am picking up my ground meat order tomorrow, 25pounds of lean ground beef and 15 pounds of ground pork, going to can meatballs, spagetti sauce and lazy man cabbage rolls (minus the rice). Our goal is to can as much meat as we are able to over the next 5 months to ride out the winter.
Just downloads to watch. Utorrent is needed for them. https://kickass.to/user/motherlode/uploads/
Coleman stove just came in the mail! Woohoo! Otherwise, nothing much to add other than a paycheque and a few more dollars into the emergency fund jar. Scouting out a .22 rifle for coyote/varmint hunting, wanting to pick up some shells and saving to buy some bulk 7.62x39 non corrosive.
Mmmmm! I got a basket of some of the first picked cherries of the season! Made 1 batch of sweet cherry jam, and I have enough for another! Now I just need to find where everyone is hiding the tart cherries!
1 ice maker from Canadian tire on sale for 159
Yes there have been some bad reviews on it and some good ones.
1 year warranty...I will try it out for a couple of days then pack it away.
Running a fridge on an inverter will drain more power then running an ice machine for a cooler (IMHO).
Lucky dog Garlowin!
Kershaw Select Fire multi tool, monocular, compass carabineer, AAA LED pocket torch, small folder knife, 8pc Torx wrench keyring, gerber keyring multi tool, AM/FM radio, Extendable 3XAAA torch/baton, Cree 3XAAA torch, gerber scout knife, bunch of muesli bars, and new pc. big coupla weeks
I grew up on Looney Tunes, Marx Brothers mvies and Robin Williams, Enter my mind at your own risk
more bars of soap, 4 pack of shaving cream from costco, 6 tubes toothpaste and a case of tannerite just for fun
Peroxide $1.25 and calamine lotion 250ml/$2 from Dollarama...they have fresher stock than the pharmacies around here.
The peroxide is good well into 2016 but I cycle through regularly as I use it for cleaning gunked up pots and pans (peroxide and baking soda paste does an amazing job)
The calamine lotion is dated good till 2019! I like that it's small bottles so you're not opening a big bottle for use and then having it deteriorate and dry out while waiting to be used up.
ETA also...Dollarama has the Arm & Hammer sensitive teeth with a good expiry date on them for $2 for the small tube of gel toothpaste. This is a really good price so I bought a year's worth.
I'm the lady you're stuck behind in the grocery store with the over loaded cart filled with cases of tuna, peanut butter, huge bags of rice and the weary looking husband
I added 6L size buckets and gamma lids x 12 pack from costco.ca
50lb rice
large size H202
large size witch hazel
3 huge bags of Blue Buffalo wilderness dog food
Tea and ghee...Freshco had ghee on sale and the Tata brand of tea that we like. They also had sooji/Indian cream of wheat on 4lbs for $2.49 so I bought 2 bags...I hated cream of wheat as a kid and still can't eat it but the sooji is not as processed and has better flavour and texture imho and I actually enjoy it.
White tuna was on $1.99 a can at Metro so we bought a dozen cans to start building our tuna stockpile up.
Last week husband picked up a few jars of instant coffee on at a really good price and an 8kg bag of sale rice to put back into our rotation as we just finished a bucket and need to replenish and rotate.
Also ...sewing needles
