For Manual coffee , I use a manual Melitta cone drip and filters. Lovely coffee. Although I've been coffee free now
for just over a year due to a health issue. I hope one day I can drink coffee again. I was also grinding coffee
beans here.

So don't forget you might need a manual coffee grinding mill, which I don't have, mine is electric.

Aargh...I gave the manual coffee grinder away years ago. Our daughter took our electric one when we moved up here, as we did not have power at first. I guess a manual mill will be on my must look for list at garage sales.

Cool man. Looks good to me. On a similar note I got blisters from an afternoon of making cordage from milkweed...

Three sets of high end footwear, 2 insulated and the other a set of Patagonia light hikers, all at 70% off. A couple cases worth of canned goods and some dried foods.

$10 worth of paracord at the local Michaels. I am looking into making a survival grenade. Basically an oblong ball you fill up & can hang from a bag.

I'm the lady you're stuck behind in the grocery store with the over loaded cart filled with cases of tuna, peanut butter, huge bags of rice and the weary looking husband

We were at the Superstore today, only planning to buy a couple things. My initial purchases were $68.00 and change. Then realized that had a promotion going on, buy $175.00 of goods (before tax), and receive a 30 pack of AA Energizer batteries for free. So, loaded the first set of purchases in the car, went back in, bought enough other stuff, all things that we will use over time anyways, all non perishable, and got the free batteries.
Did not "Need" all the other stuff TODAY...but will certainly use it all...so might as well load up now and the free batteries. Moral of story...take advantages of the specials, there are deals to be had.
Also loaded up on some items on special earlier in the day at the local No Frills... when on sale...load up!

Major grocery stores have had sales (less than 1/2 price) on 425-550gm canned chunky soups and ready meals. So I topped up my faves in the soup - and bought 10 cans of the Bolognese variety meals. about 20 cans total under $40. all yummy, all can be eaten cold if necessary. don't have space for any more unfortunately.
