We were in the green house talking to family who had stopped by and it actually got too hot... this was the first weekend in October.
So now I'm pretty sure I have to get serious about a solar powered electric fan as the cross-breeze may not be enough come July and August. The roof is supposed to block 90% of the UV and all but 3 front windows open. We also have screens for the windows and some gardening cloth for protecting plants against too much sun which I'm going to suspend from the roof somehow.
We were putting in the last wall panels and shelves (all 1/2" pwf) when the family arrived but up next is the boxes for the raised beds.

Well done Rachel!
A Water Brik purifier from Briden's. Use it every day now and love it.
2 Oz of silver. Finally started collecting.
Getting ready to have a new pantry installed, yay!
Just took delivery of a new StoveTec Stove (purchased on IPN). Thanks Martha!!
None you improvise, one (or more) is luxury.
Not just this week, but recently.
New flashlight, those cree LED ones are now so cheap you can have one in every room of the house and every vehicles, at work, etc...
Rechargeable AA and AAA batteries
Emergency dental supplies
Fruit leather trays for the dehydrator
A new water hydration pack
And l, having had more opportunities to visit the gym, shed 7 pounds while increasing cardio endurance; that counts as prepping, right?

Congrats on the fitness! I think personal health/fitness is one of the foundations of prepping. Kudos bruagh.
Can I ask what dental supplies you got? What is a good list to have for this? I've got dental hygene covered (the usual toothbrushes, etc.) but what else can we keep to help in long term events?

I got something like this for emergency
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Permanent-Universal-Tooth-Filling-composite-resin-Self-Cure-No-More-PAIN/282761819011?hash=item41d5eaf383:g:seEAAOSwEEBaI4Gm
I purchased a few Dentek filling repair kit as well as a set of dentist instruments. It all goes in the big bin of medical goodies. A few relatives and friends are in dentistry. I don't expect I would open shop, but in an emergency where dentists aren't available it come handy, especially if those folks are around. I also printed the book "where dentists aren't" or something like that. It's the same series as the medical one.
The dental stuff is available through Amazon. Be aware that many of the kits sold are very underwhelming and overpriced for what you get! The reviews are normally a good indication. Ive figured that the temporary fillings could likely last a while and having had bad teeth as a kid (thanks mom and dad!) i have quite a few fillings that require constant upkeep. It would be awful to find myself in a long term situation with a filling that broke off! Of course, I still believe that prevention is best and this is why I'm on the kids to take care of their teeth!
We received our order of sheet metal for the raised garden beds. Will start working on those soon, so that they are in place in the greenhouse when spring rolls around. This unseasonably warm weather has me concerned about next year's rainfall and the increased potential for grassfires, of which we have had quite a few around the Calgary area these past few months. Absolutely no snow left since that whallop in November!
we Also picked up both, an AR and a Walther PPQ in 22lr for cheap training as they match what I normally shoot with. I plan on attending more 3-gun competitions next season and want to get in as many hours of practice this winter as I can. It's more of fun, social event then a prep but it encourages me to stay active and keep working out as well. Can't be the dude dying of a heart attack on the range lol.
Thanks to Peppercorn I'm also sorting out a better back up power system for the RV/BOV.
Small week for me...aside from lots and lots of ham radio building/testing.
40 l stabilized gas
100' paracord
got a couple inexpensive pouches from EBay, 1 for archery stuff and 1 for chainsaw stuff.
Picked up a tourniquet for the chainsaw pouch.
