My end goal is less long term than many on this and other sites. I'm getting ready so that in a short to mid term emergency situation i can manage by myself without aid from family or services.

In a full on breakdown I would not expect or want my family to put themselves at risk to come get me. With my physical limitations i would be a hell of a drain in a bug out situation. And lomng term i could not contribute much beyond some knowledge which several members of my family have more skills in.

This is something i have mentioned briefly to a couple of them, and probably is not a popular or wide held mindset. If they came, i would tell them to take what would be useful to them.
Understand i am talking tsunami wiping out the city, full on military invasion, comet strike etc. If it is a lesser event eg floods again then i could/would manage and am working to that end.

I know i which of my family are most likely to come for me and honestly they are the ones i know would be best suited to survive crap events, so i would not want to hamper their chances.

Right now i reckon i could (with a few hours warning to fill some extra water containers) last a month to 6 weeks. it'd be pretty ripe here but i'd manage.

I grew up on Looney Tunes, Marx Brothers mvies and Robin Williams, Enter my mind at your own risk

Cares it looks like you have a pretty good local, with only a few hundred people in the valley. In a bad situation some of those would leave and you might be in a position to work together with neighbors to form a workable group. You seem to be far enough away from major centers to be in a good situation.
