I came across this incredible report on what happens when Trucks stop rolling with all the supplies for North American society.

The 'timeline' of shortages, near the end of the article, is frightening.....

For what ever reason, I can't seem to get this link to work...??? It's sounds like a very interesting article.

I looked at that link, interesting. Quite a bit of it I knew about but only in bits and pieces, they put it altogether in one place. When you only hear about things in small doses every once in awhile, it doesn't seem like that big of a deal. That site really brings home just how important one link in the chain can be and the hardship it can cause if that link is broken. Also, I had never thought about the affect on ATMs and on water treatment. Eye opening.

Thanks for the link PrepHer.

Thanks for sharing. I was surprised by the time frames. There are shortages in the hospitals now so I can't image what it would be like without the trucks

Thanks Ranger, I like the heading for the article too. I wonder if it will make people "sit up and take notice"?

Very interesting statistics. Makes one wonder to what degree would cities devolve if such a stoppage or disruption were to occur for a week or more.
