With Stepen Harper and his entourage visiting Israel and delivering a speach that publicly supports Israel leads me to think that terrorists put a big target on Canada now. Many Countries support Israel, however as of late it seems like Canada has become the most public and vocal in declaring 100% support for Israel. I watched Stephen Harpers speach in Israel that was addressed in their political government that literally turned Harper into a "Rock Star" amongst Israeli's and also seemed to offend Syria and Muslims. During his speach a couple Muslim politicians were heckling Harper and got up and left, while the other 99% of Israeli's gave standing ovations. It made me think, with Canada giving more public support than any other Country to Israel, does Canada now have a serious terrorist threat against the groups and terrorist that have such strong hatred for Israel ?
I think Canada may have shifted the terrorists targets towards itself, and compared to places like the USA & UK, Canada is a soft target with less security and many sleeper cells already inside Canadian borders. Toronto and Vancouver are know as being very multicultural, and not all Muslims are terrorists, most terrorists are muslims...which are here already in large populations.
Do you guys think it would be best is Canada gave quiet Israeli support like other Countries, instead of becoming a strong public alley, or is Canada being courageous to let the support be known ?
Do you see the next major terrorist attack taking place on Canadian soil, because it is widely known who's side Canada is on now withoutba doubt....I am pleased by Canada having courage in being vocal, but also a little concerned that Toronto or Vancouver now has a bullseye on it
I think most eastern terrorists would sooner attack Israel itself than bother to come over here. Unlike the US, Canada hasn't really been a direct threat to any terrorist groups in the region.
That said, there's always the born-and-raised Canadian citizen with just enough sawdust in his head to think "Israel bad! Now Canada bad! Me blow up Canada!" Anything is possible.

Canada has been on the same side as Israel for a long time now..we are officially allies.
This has never been hidden or underplayed.
Harper saying something in public won't raise the threat one bit...the threat has always been there.
I agree that Canada hasbeen an alley to Israel since it was a State. Other than the regular ongoing U.N. speaches that are not really followed by most people, Canada has been fairly low key and would not likely draw much attention in the middle east. However after Harpers visit to Israel & the headlines that followed must of put Canada on the radar quite a bit more, and the fact that Canada's security is not as tough as the USA, it makes me wonder if certain terrorists groups view Canada as a perfect target now more than ever because it is a softer target than the USA. I hope nothing will happen in Canada, but there must be an awful lot of sleeper cells in Canada...its likely a matter of when and how bad, not if.
