Seriously?
USED knockoffs?
I agree that lot of the stuff in surplus stores are knock offs...believe me, I worked at one for 5 years, and I've heard all the crap
"It's made by the same company that makes them for the military"
"they are made to the same specs"
it goes on and on...
but I can't recall ever seeing USED knock offs.
Did I write that? Damn, sorry, I was slurring my disdain for army surpluses so heavily I forgot to see if they made sense!
Apologies for the confusion. I've just been had by them too many times. Like I said originally, there IS good stuff, you just gotta comb through it and see what's legit.

I figured as much...that's why I kept mentioning used...
I agree, a lot of the new stuff if knock off...I've heard (and used) all the jargon that is shoveled at customers trying to convince them of authenticity.
Some of my favorite used stuff:
US M-65 jacket with liner
Canadian arctic sleeping bag
US webbing (the old ALICE stuff) especially the fanny pack which is a great size for a survival kit?
P35? can opener
Love it!
I suppose you could still carry water, though not conveniently, by filling the upside down canteen, putting the cup on top, and attaching the holster to your belt... Upside down. Should be a tight enough fit to help with the sloshing if needs be. Well done!
