Well It's official my wife and I will be moving to B.C. around Dec 1st/14, this is where we chose to relocate after the big Alberta flood, some thing we should have done a long time ago... Our home should be built by then and we are looking forward to living in Beautiful British Columbia, we will be moving to Anglemont On the North shore of the Shuswap.....So this brings up the Question who is in the area, salmon arm/sicamous/Kamloops/vernon/enderby/and so on....
Better to have it and not need it; then to need it and not have it...
Anglemont? Dang, you forgot to mention ..... REMOTE!!! LOL

Too bad they closed the little airport there. Best fly-in golfing I've ever seen!!!!
Good choice in locales.

Slightly Jealous....I'm working my way towards buying 160 acres in that area. I love it there. 😉
A little to desert like there, so I think we will stick to the Slocan{hippie} Valley. Good luck on your move.
Lots of micro climates in that area, look on google earth at the brown vs green areas. 😉
Tinfoilhats: I am sorry if I ruffled any feathers with my "a little to desert like for me" comment. My husband and I spent 2 weeks holiday around the Anglemont area, it was very nice.....would have bought property there if the right parcel had been available, but had nose bleeds every day from the dryness, even with spending hours in the lake. I speak from the heart, when I say it is nice, it is just not nice to me.

Haha nope! It's pretty hard to ruffle my feathers! I live in the southwest rain forest....so I would appreciate a bit more dryness. 😉
