I swear by it in flu season, 6 drops, twice a day when those around me are ill (I never take it more than 7 days at a time) and when I cut my leg tiling in the winter, I used it in the wound. I have a scar but, it did not itch or sting at all. 🙂

Hi,

Colloidal Silver is an excellent product for peppers; it acts almost like an anti biotic and helps with over 600 ailments.

I have just purchased the supplies I need to make it for myself and family; there is an abundance of you tube videos on how to make it.

Many people use 99.9 silver which is not ideal due to impurities, 99.99 is recommended at minimum. I have after searching and searching acquired 99.999 (five 9's) of silver wire to use. six 9's (99.9999) is not available and if someone found it i think it would be just too expensive. The five 9's is in the neighborhood of $200 per ounce. But you do get a certificate with a detailed analysis of impurities.

You can source it from your healthfood store or find someone like myself and Grouchy Prepper who im sure could easily make some additional batches.

As far as im concerned, this is a must have for preppers. I will take this over fish meds.

CAUTION, use sparingly.

Colloidal Silver: Risk Without Benefit
Stephen Barrett, M.D.
Colloidal silver is a suspension of submicroscopic metallic silver particles in a colloidal base. Long-term use of silver preparations can lead to argyria, a condition in which silver salts deposit in the skin, eyes, and internal organs, and the skin turns ashen-gray. Many cases of argyria occurred during the pre-antibiotic era when silver was a common ingredient in nosedrops. When the cause became apparent, doctors stopped recommending their use, and reputable manufacturers stopped producing them. The official drug guidebooks (United States Pharmacopeia and National Formulary) have not listed colloidal silver products since 1975.

Hmm, Does it surprise you that an M.D. or "White Coat" as I call them dismisses the benefits of a substance that does not come in the form of a pill, cannot be patented and branded by major pharma?

Ask an old timer if they remember their mother putting a silver dollar in the milk jug to extend the shelf life of milk?
Anyone here have a "Whole house water filter"? read the fine print on the filter, they are "Silver Impregnated".

Fact is, silver kills bacteria, viruses and funguses.

That blue skinned Santa Clause looking guy that is pasted all over the net is used to scare people.

Anyone who takes what M.D.'s say as gospel I feel for you. My Dr. an Asian, 100% dismisses all and any non western practices such as Acupuncture, Iridology, Acupressure, Reflexology, Homoeopathy and anything that is not "Scientifically Proven" with clinical trials. I asked him politely how he can be soo quick to dismiss such practices that have been around for hundreds if not thousands of years before "Western Medicine" was invented. How his ancestors were the founders of some of these. With his monotone voice he said...."They don’t work". But he will write me up a script for anything i need as long as its comes in a pill bottle.

Ranger...not by any means an attack on you personally. I agree that anything must be taken with within reason. But I get frustrated how much value people put into their Dr.'s opinion and hope that all people do their own research and realize that Dr.'s don’t cure people (bad for business) they mask symptoms. I did a test a few years back, I was sick and I went to 3 walk in clinics and got 3 different prescriptions for 3 different types of pills. Its sad.

I believe in the Medical System just as much as the Political System and the Banking System.

k, i did not want this to be a debate as i posted above . 🙁
everyone should do research on the subject if they are interested.
i agree that that big pharma just treats symptoms to keep the money flowing in.(look at asa, aspirin maybe one of the greatest finds )
there are the no do not use it cause you will turn blue................well if (swore here) did not drink a quart of it every day
and if this wannabe famous women did not do the same they would not be blue.
in passing the blue does not hurt them just makes them famous.

this is not about drinking it for now. i will be bring some to show what else it is good for, related to food . 😀

*jumping in but treading lightly*

I agree with both of you ranger and spinkx.
Silver DOES kill bacteria and has some benefits for those who use it wisely. It is not something you should use in abundance and definitely not every day. A little bit, once and a while, really does go a long way.
I started using it because I was dreading being on antibiotics for 3 months yet again for a sore throat that seems to hang around every winter all winter long. I have been anti biotic free for over a year now and for me, that is a victory! YAY! *knock on wood!!!*

Doc's (most not all but the majority) are paid a hefty fee to agree or disagree. Ever been to a shrink? Ya, one will prescribe a med, hell they will swear by it... now change shrinks, the new one will like a different med and the majority of their patience will be on that med. (One of my kids docs only uses pills from a certain drug company. I caught on quick to his ways and called him on it, he asked us to not come back.... I guess he doesn't like mommas who can think for themselves!)

I will agree to the most part that most doctors are owned by the chem corps; I but I wont agree that every thing that has been used in the past, is still viable today. How many people still get bled when they’re ill, how many people still believe that rhino horn as a cure all? Yes the silver does kill bacteria and is still use in water filters, But how much is too much, pediatricians, use to put mercury in babies eyes to prevent transference of VD from mother to baby, Now they use silver. At one time tomatoes were declared poisonous by the American Medical Association. So who to believe, are all Doctors pushers, are all herbalist right, we have to weed out fact from fiction. Superstition still precedes in all our lives, in what is true to what we believe is true. 😕
