You have a computer. All you need is a large thumb drive or an external USB hard drive and you are away to the races!

Staples has the 550 gig drives for $55
best way to back up all the data, cheaper than the zip drives/thumb drives, pop in old microwave for faraday cage. Look to find an older laptop as well, make sure it works and pop it in old micro with the back up drive. just a thought

WildernessReturn: I went to Staples this morning for that 500 GB external hard drive for $55 and they didn't know what I was talking about....!!
I checked online but none at that price or even close.
So maybe it was just a local sale.... too bad because I really need an XHard drive!
Good idea about the old laptop in an old microwave too.
BTW, would an old fridge work as a Faraday Cage since they are all metal too? Just wondering......

Awesome news indeed about you coming, I look forward to tasting your homemade refreshment! As for what to bring, yourself plus little ones, some extra chairs might be good, plus whatever hits your fancy, will leave it up to you, just think your basic potluck and do keep in mind that you can just get a little something once you get into the area as well if you are worried about the travel time.. See you soon..

Anyone coming to the meet want any virginia creeper, it does make a quick and great cover for any smaller area's you want shaded out for smaller critters, it is stunning in the fall BUT its also fast growing, must be controlled and has no eating value to you as a human but the birds do like the berries..

For whatever reason its loving this strange weather and for the first time ever, we have 40 to 50 good starts in the big pasture, and they have to go, I am sure that the sheep will eat them if the pasture gets lean but I would perfer to dig and remove, so before I compost them, I will offer them up for anyone who might like to add one or five to their yard, let me know if you want any and how much and I will be happy to bring them to the meet 🙂

Sure, I am open to it, if others would like to do so.. .. Anyone else interested in a little prepper gift exchange.. it would interesting to see what different folks could come up with, How about if we make it a dollar store gift swap only.. We are always talking about all the cool things we can find at the dollar store.. five dollar limit sounds about right..

Does that sound like a bit of fun?

I'm in on the exchange! I hope I still can think straight by the weekend I have 25 overnight quests from Friday till Sunday and I'm ducking out and leaving them in the capable hands of my daughters.

Hoping to leave here by 6:30 - I don't want to miss a thing! If you haven't seen me by noon - send out the search party!!! 🙂
