ROFLMAO - you are going to give me a hernia (because of all the laughing) and when I end up in hospital you won't even send a card will you? You're a nasty man, you know that don't you?

I have a spare Van,
the battery needed charging, so I charged it up, but the wind and rain was a whipping, so I put it under my camper. Lesson Learned, someone came onto the property looking for scrap, stole the batter, probably did not even see that it was still under warranty. So he/she will get $8 for it at the scrap yard, it will cost me $95 to replace it.

lesson put back into vehicle right away 🙁

That sucks. I am surprised that you would not have had a more secure place for something like that. However who is to say that they wouldn't have taken out of the van.

Yeah, Oldschool...you're probably right that they probably would have taken the battery anyway (and what else?)...there are lots of people out there that will take what they want regardless of the cost and inconvenience to others. I just had someone try to get into my car (I heard them the minute the dogs did)...lucky for me I'm paranoid and it was locked (and I'm still up)..but they must have nearly crapped themselves when my dogs hit the corrugated iron gate right in front of the car (they were both going ballistic) and by the time I got to the door with my sticks whoever it was had gone! Now I won't be able to sleep at all 'cos the adrenaline is up! Just goes to show though...being paranoid at times is "good" mate!

Just remember ...dogs can run faster than people (and they are able to change direction quicker than we can)...worse case scenario, I'd have let the dogs loose to bale up the perp ...i don't believe that either of my dogs would actually bite unless they knew I was scared or they felt threatened. "I'm the boss in their eyes" and they are both protective.

I have a "guard" cat. Lol
He sleeps at the foot of my bed and if there are any strange sounds he stands there and growls.

Great for an "almost silent alarm". Seriously they are worth their food because they let you know something is happening so you can be on guard. We've got 2 cats as well.

Is there any way you could ask at the local scrap yard? You might be able to get it back (maybe)?

If part of your brain is telling you to either get another tool or quit the job, quit or you may end up with a pry bar in your leg.

No as I couldn't drive yesterday. I did phone my ex and ask him as he seems to get hurt on a regular bases. It's been a joke that he is not allowed around sharp knives. Lol

Much better today. I iced it as he suggested. If I had known yesterday that it was a large muscle bruise causing the pain I would have used arnica cream (not on the cut of course)
