I have been reading your posts for a while now, and find all the different view points to be interesting. I am not a prepper by the standards of many here, but by slowly working "back to my past" I kind of fall into the category. I grew up in a time warp; no electricity, plumbing, telephone ect... so I know first hand the lifestyle some here are trying to plan for.
My prepping doesn't involve lots of beans and bags but rather tools, fabrics, boots, shoes, livestock, shelter, heat, and basic food items that allow me to make other food items. I have a farm so we eat "poor man's chow". Meat and potatoes. We eat beef, pork, chicken, raw milk/cheese/butter and all the other stuff the government says will kill you. So far, no luck there, but we will keep trying to prove they are right about something.
Starting an orchard this year as well. Probably die of old age before we benefit from that but if we don't plant it, no one will.
MMMMMMMMMM fresh cows milk and cream. I grew up with that and miss it so much.
Welcome to you and yours

Welcome to the club. You say you are not a prepper but from the sounds of it you are much closer to bring prepared than a lot of people. Great job living what for now many of us can only read about.
Hope to see you around

Welcome OddDuck - when you' re ready, let us know if you are from North, South, West, or East Ontario. There are get-togethers springing up all over and you are welcome to attend.
I am with You My friend. Before I came to Canada (40 years ago) I lived like that and after many years I am enjoying the simple and happy life again out in remote bush of Northen Ontario Henry.
OddDuck that is called sustainability. An objective that many of us aim for! 🙂

Near as I can figure, its South Eastern. Get togethers are good, but one thing about a farm; it ties you down. Not an excuse. Just a fact.
