What is the biggest prepping mistake that you have made that you are aware of?

Mine was trying to powder scotch bonnet peppers in the kitchen after I dried them. My face was red, burning and blistered for a week. I am sure I looked funny as heck but it sure hurt.

Trying to help people too much
Being in a Documentary on Prepping In Canada
Getting involved with a couple, working their land for a year, then they hit the booze and drugs, so looking again for another property to be a part of

WildE - Trying to help people too much is a very nice thing to do (It just shows that you're a person of integrity!)
The people who used you to work their land and then hit the booze & drugs.....they will get their comeuppance when SHTF and they are running around trying to get their sh*t together while you're sitting back reaping the benefits of your efforts!)
The documentary thing .....like everyone else who has participated in order to help others "get the message" ...good on you for having the guts to do it! (a lot of people wouldn't have been brave enough)
My hat's off to you, mate!

Ooooh Oldschool - OUCH! Is your finger is OK now? I keep a couple hot/cold gel thingy"s in my freezer (I grab one when I get a migraine and hide in the dark with it), they aren't expensive. (also Good for treatment of bruises from trips/falls, sprains, strains, splinters, hangovers etc). OR open up your freezer and chip off a bit of the ice from inside - but, I bet you've already remedied the lack of "freeze remedies", haven't you?

Thanks for the concern. Ice did not numb deep enough. I do have this numbing agent I got at the drug store but you are not to use it on cuts. I guess I should look into why I can't use it on cuts. Think I still have part of it in my finger. It hurt too bad to cut any deeper and too much bleeding to see if I got it all lol

Guess I will try again later 🙁
