This Ontario site has been pretty quiet all summer! What's everyone been doing? Preps? News? Let's hear from you!
I put mine in the usual place. What have you been up to this summer?
Non Preparedness:
-Lots and lots of training and competition for sports related stuff (open water swimming, running, triathlon, etc.)
-Work. I love money. 🙂
-Overseas trip to Spain. (ran with the bulls in Pamplona, wife not totally thrilled....lol)
-started a front and rear ornamental garden at the house/repaved the driveway.
-New vehicle. X1. Wife likes it. happy wife...happy life. 🙂
Preparedness:
-Got my fill of wood. The last of it was cut and split this summer and the mad race to dry much of it out. Last years stock is ready to roll.
-Played "watch the gas prices" and hedged my bets. Filled up 200L of gas cans at the lows and used it as such. Costco consistently has inexpensive gas.
-Revamped my home operations and maintenance manual. and updated my master list of all supplies and stored items.
-Cleaned the chimney/wood stove.
-Just did my fall "run the generators/snow blower" routine to make sure everything is working. did a tally on road salt, and garage supplies for the inevitable coming up.
-Froze all my remaining seeds for the garden. and starting to do my tours of home depot/home hardware for sales on summer supplies as seasons change.

Nice little list. And ALL so important! Far behind on my garden boxes due to health but have wood all in so can work on them soon or hopefully in the spring and ready for action. Going to try and get wood chips, earth and bales of hay in for same agenda
