Wait a sec....
July 16th is a Monday, do you mean July 15th?
Whatever the date, the Sunday is OK, we are booked with family out of town on Saturday for the annual Orangeman's Picnic/Parade Near Thetford Mines.
The wife will probably drop me off and go do some shopping so we don't have to take 2 cars.
Anyways, look forward to more details.
Sunday, July 15th @ 11 a.m. sounds perfect to me. Potluck lunch is a nice idea too.
July 15th works for me too. And I like the idea of a potluck lunch as well.
Those rainy days you were saving for...may not be quelled by cash.

merging this topic with eastern preppers
Still working on places, but yup, we are looking at Sunday July 15th at 11am with the pot luck.
I am looking to bring my ecozoom for folks to check out.. some dried goods, some little plants for give-a-ways, and most likely at least one or two other show and tell things, just not sure yet.
What is everyone else thinking of bringing for a show/tell or share idea?
I have DH looking for a couple sites to send me to look up, I have a friend and her hubby that are interested in coming out and she said if I can find a place that has a fire pit, she will bring some of her outdoor cooking items and do a demo to go with the pot luck idea etc..

Summer Meeting place idea #1
A meet in the middle as we have folks coming from ottawa, montreal, rockland etc.. I am putting up P1 site, pro's private in the forest itself, most folks go to P2, big shelter with tables, outdoor bathroom, and room for the kids to play, and for folks to mingle and even for a little exploring, often has animal tracks, and a good amount of plants that can be found that could be used for eating an or medical uses. Con's, it does not to my knowledge allow open fires, but can't see any issues at all with using the ecozoom stove etc, no way to book it, but I can get thinks set up early to hold our space, and last but not least, lots of bugs! bring the bug spay..

To get to P1, take Highway 417 to exit 79 (well-marked since this is the exit for Calypso Waterpark). Go through the town of Limoges and follow the sharp right curve in the road onto Saumure Road. Stay on this road — the name changes to Indian Creek — and take the second left onto a road which is also Indian Creek. You’ll find P1 less than a kilometre down this road.
To reach P2, make your way to the town of Bourget, head south along Champlain Street (also known as County Road 8) for about two kilometres and you’ll see the parking on the right side of the road.
If anyone has a place or idea that they would recommend, please let me know and I will check into it..
